A commitment to sustainable resources and practices for our mental health.

Human development and thriving can be difficult in this lifetime. Resilient Networks is a private practice I developed in 2019, and have dived into full-time since June 2024 – with a focus on not just providing counseling to members of my community, but to eventually do something unique for our mental health needs. I have been working within clinical mental health counseling since 2017, addressing needs of children as young as 4, to adults as old as 80. I am a local to Western North Carolina (WNC), and am biracial to the worlds of Mexico and the Appalachian Mountains.

These mountains have personally taught me so much, and I have only desired to leave this place better than how it found me. I have experienced so much in this life, and am passionate about expanding what mental health care looks like – beyond the rooms of counseling. A true mission is to address the upward issues that affect the clients I have worked with before, opposed to only addressing the individual journeys we are on. I value the richness that counseling can bring, while I am now a 2026 graduate candidate for UNC Gillings of Public Health Place-Based program. Engaging in the world of mental health for 7 years has given me invaluable insights and understandings to attempt to bring more changes needed. Connecting you to the inner resources you have, creating ones we may need, and exploring more of your deeper self. Resilient Networks is dedicated to the increased understanding of the self, working with that knowledge, and exploring what new networks you may create.

On this website, the intention is to build up, over time, the resources to help each of us navigate the following questions:

  • What is a mental health diagnosis and what does this mean?
  • What are personal things I can learn to support myself or a loved one with this diagnosis?
  • What kinds of treatment are available for this diagnosis?
  • What are the pros and cons to each treatment?

Network updates done on this website will be accessible via resource sharing or psychoeducational services. Network updates may include: Emotional regulation, ADHD management, Family Systems, Community Connections, Resiliency, Communication Skills, Trauma awareness, and more. I wish you the best in your exploration. Thank you for visiting. And feel free to reach out with any concerns or updates. And please be patient as I slowly advance the development of this page.

I will have individual pages with content and information, along with some videos as well. Be on the lookout for what is soon to be!
