Recent Collaborations & Training Highlights

  • Oakley Elementary School (Spring 2024): Designed and delivered an ADHD-focused, trauma-informed training for teachers and staff, integrating inclusive classroom strategies and policy insights from MPH coursework.
  • MAHEC (Jan–May 2024): Facilitated a multi-part didactic series on neurodivergence, therapy modalities (CBT, EMDR, solution-focused), and multiple presentations regarding Latinx Experiences in Western North Carolina and perspectives providers can take in ensuring cultural competency in service delivery.
  • Jackson County Health Department (Spring 2025): Developed a 12-month Mental Wellness Plan including monthly activities, psychoeducation, and community-building prompts to support staff well-being.
  • Henderson County Dept. of Public Health & Public School System (2024‑2025): Supported youth mental health strategies and crisis response protocols, drawing on Sources of Strength principles and trauma-informed care.
  • UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health (2023–2025): Crafted a mock grant proposal, developed a multi-phase school-based mental health campaign, advocated for equitable school discipline reforms, and explored reducing administrative barriers in Medicaid With these engagements, I’m able to partner communities to support systems
