Why “Mental Hygiene”?

Your body already knows how to heal, from blood clotting to form scabs without asking, or fighting infections we encounter regularly. In the same way, your nervous system is working all day to keep you safe and balanced. We are living systems shaped by our histories and environments, and we are impacted by what happens around us. Caring for your nervous system is like caring for your physical health: small, consistent practices create change and that steadiness benefits the people around you too.
